Third Sunday of the month,  1 to 3:30 pm

April 15, 2012

May 19, 2012

Join with other nature-loving volunteers at the Alden Sedge Meadow, a McHenry County Conservation District site, to restore a globally-endangered ecosystem. We will be removing invasive plants, sowing native seeds, and stacking brush. No previous experience required! We will provide training, work gloves and tools. Please dress in layers, and wear sturdy shoes or boots.  After working, we will take an interpretive walk in this amazing natural area, normally closed to the public except for occasions like this. You are invited to visit afterwards at the Small Waters lodge for refreshments.

Location: meet at 15820 IL Route 173, between Hebron and Harvard Illinois. We are 4 miles west of Route 47 and 1/2 mile east of Alden Road.

Call Jack or Judy Speer at 815-648-1372 to let us know you are coming!
